Computers and everyday tech
Computer repair and tech help near you
A slow laptop, a printer that will not connect, a new phone to set up or a parent who wants to learn video calls. GuruFinder helps you find people nearby who are good with computers and happy to help, at home or at work.
Jobs people often need help with
Laptop and desktop repairs, upgrades such as more memory or a faster drive, and moving files to a new computer.
Removing viruses and unwanted software, and setting up backups so photos and documents are safe.
Printers, home Wi-Fi, smart speakers, TVs and streaming devices that will not talk to each other.
Phones and tablets: set-up, moving contacts and photos, and getting email working.
Lessons, not just fixes
Many helpers offer one-on-one lessons, at home and at your own pace. They are ideal for older family members or anyone who wants to feel confident with their devices.
Look for "Tech lessons & tutoring" in a profile’s skills, or the "Patient with beginners" badge.
Before they arrive
Back up anything important if you can, have your passwords to hand, and write down what is going wrong and when it started. It saves time and money.
